Accessibility Statement

Northeast Florida Tree Surgeons LLC is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control, and screen magnifiers.

Conformance target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We test new pages and components against this standard before they go live, and we audit the full site at least once per year.

Features implemented

  • Skip-navigation link as the first focusable element on every page.
  • Single, descriptive H1 on every page and a logical heading hierarchy.
  • Visible, high-contrast keyboard focus indicators on all interactive elements.
  • Semantic HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and ARIA labels where appropriate.
  • Form fields with persistent visible labels, associated error messages, and live announcements.
  • Mobile menu and modal dialogs that trap focus and return focus on close.
  • Color contrast that meets or exceeds 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI components.
  • Descriptive alt text on meaningful images and empty alt text on decorative images.
  • Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion setting on all animations and scroll effects.
  • Scalable text and layout that works down to 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling.

Known limitations

Embedded third-party content, such as Google Maps, may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We provide text alternatives (our address, phone number, and a description of the service area) so the same information is available without using the embedded map.
